5 IMPORTANT THINGS A WALLET SHOULD HAVE

I’m quite certain everyone would agree, it’s a necessity to have at least one wallet.  I know everyone has it, big or small and even in different shapes, expensive or cheap, colorful ones.  It’s one thing an individual’s personality and social status explain.
Not chronologically arranged, here are my top 5 important things a wallet must have:
1.        MONEY.
Of course, it is where money must be kept especially when travelling.  It wouldn’t be called wallet without any money--- bills or coins in it.  Whether a small amount of money or big amount of money, It is always the wallet where money should be.

2.        IDENTIFICATION CARDS/BUSINESS CARDS, etc..
It is quite necessary also for a wallet to have Identification Cards of the owner.  It may be returned easily when lost.  Besides, whenever you had business tansactions, you can easily find it in your bag.  The bag must have a wallet inside!

3.        KEYS.
I am certain there are types of wallets that hold keys. Three is the least, this is found near the coins side.  There are really products such as this out in the market since years ago.

4.        PICTURES.
Pictures are among the important things in the wallet because it is to remember persons close to your heart.  Believe me, a wallet is where you put your treasures while having a journey.  Am I right?  And these pictures are considered valuable photos or memories to be kept.

5.        ROSARY/SHORT PRAYER CARD
For me it quite important because as the song goes… “Always keep a little prayer in your pocket and you’re sure to see the light….”  Anybody would never go wasting his/her treasures or money be reminded by the rosary or even a short prayer card.

I think there’s more but I just mentioned five.  How about you? What are other important things a wallet must have?

SLEEPING LATE is DANGEROUS to your HEALTH

Sleep is among the needs of an individual.  It is very important in one's happiness, as well as, individual's optimal health.  Sleep disturbances are a major health problem.  Many industrial accidents, vehicular accidents, and poor school/job performances are caused by troubled sleep.

SERIOUS CHRONIC SLEEP DIFFICULTIES FALL INTO FOUR (4) MAIN CATEGORIES:

1.  Disorders of Initiating & Maintining Sleep (DIMS)
          -  Insomnia is the primary symptom

2.  Disordes of Excessive Somnolence (DOES)
          -  Hypersomnia (sleeping too much) is the main symtptom

3.  Disorders of the Sleep-Wake Schedule
          -  that which includes Jet-lag and work-shift change problems

4.  Dysfunctions Associated with Sleep, Sleep Stages, or Partial Arousals
          -  that which includes nightmares, sleepwalking, sleep-related
                bed wetting

REASONS FOR SLEEPING AND WAKING UP EARLY

1.  In order for our organs to function well the next day.
          -  systems and organs, when we sleep, are in process of
detoxification, removing toxic chemicals found in the body.

9pm-11pm  --  detoxification process in the antibody system
                                    (lymph nodes)
11pm-1am  --  detoxification process in the liver
1am-3am   --  detoxification process in the gall
3am-5am   --  detoxification process in the lungs
5am-7am   --  detoxification proces in the colon

2.  Sleeping late can disrupt the process of eliminating toxic chemicals.

3.  Exactly 4am is the time when the bone marrow produces more blood.

4.  "The early bird catches worms"  As it was first recorded in John Ray's
A COLLECTION OF ENGLISH PROVERBS 1670, 1678, that means,
success comes to those who is well prepared early morning
as well as who works early in the morning.

A Very Filipino Dish

I really miss this recipe I learned from my mom.  It's just so simple to cook.
Bangus or any (fresh) Fish is the main ingredient in this recipe.

Other ingredients are as follows:
 1 whole Ginger
 1/2  big sized onions
 2 pcs. garlic, crushed
 1 medium sized Amplaya
 1 medium sized Eggplant
 1/4 cup Vinegar
 1/2 cup Water
 1 pinch salt
 1 pc. magic sarap (optional)

Cut fish into desired slices.  Mix salt and a little magic sarap and apply  on the fish placed in porcelain coated skillet.  Add all other ingredients, except ampalaya.  Bring to boil then lower heat.  Simmer for about 10 minutes turning fish once.  Add amplaya during the last 5 minutes of cooking.  Don't overcook the ampalaya so that it won't spoil it's taste.

GRILLED SHRIMPS

“Shrimps are best cooked when stir-fried, sautéed, and grilled,” says me.  And yes you read it right!  SHRIMPS can be grilled.  At first I’m in two minds with grilled shrimps.  I haven’t eaten yet I guess, looking back the past recipes mom shared.  But when I try this recipe, I really can say “Shrimps are deliciously great when grilled.”
Well, to prepare this menu, first thing to do is: clean the shrimp by rinsing the shrimps in shells with water.  Remove the hairs.  Next thing is to sprinkle with lemon juice and salt.  Then, Place the shrimps on rack and brush top with melted butter.  Then grill at 246°C for 10 minutes.
Very healthy and satisfying, isn’t it?  If I were you, better try this low-calorie menu.  Shrimps are quite beneficial for its high protein & iron content.

I LOVE YOU

2003 to be exact, I have written a poem about love that goes like this:

I LOVE YOU
Three simple words I want to hear from you,
Words that can make me happy
And that makes me feel specially loved by you.

Best moments with you
Is not quite enough
 Without your “I LOVE YOU.”
It’s like the world’s out of its essentials,
 Not even a laugh
Like children usually do.

For me, life would tend to lose its meaning
Without words such as “I LOVE YOU”
From someone so special, significant in this world living.

And here I go posting it here.  I just like the idea!  I would love to reply comments  for this one.  Let me know what’s on your mind…..  ;-)

Smile

With just a simple smile, my heart feels light
But with a  smile so sweet cast down upon me,
Especially  after a long hours of hard work
& even just for a second,  makes my day great.
A smile quite luminous and radiant,
Brighter than a ray of sun.
I really appreciate that priceless gift!  = )

Celtic Woman New Journey- Intro+The Sky & the Dawn & the Sun

First time I saw this video today and I feel happy knowing Hayley Westenra was among the female group called CELTIC WOMAN.  The violin instrumental by Mairead Nesbitt did amaze me.  It was like I was filled with the emotional impact of the songs from the heart of these women; I was overwhelmed with surprise especially towards the end of the music video, the part of violin instrumental with matching dance steps to make the performance lively.  Really amazing video!  The one female group you’ll love to listen to repeatedly.  Check this video and you’ll see what I mean…..

THE STARS

A poem  I made and kept for years is entitled THE STARS.  I just so missed stargazing with cousins, also with a friend that I thought of posting this short poem to everyone.  A lovely moments of dear loved ones especially when dreaming of something good in the future.

THE STARS

So many stars in the sky,
so high above me I like to reach them.
In the dark like a firefly
 on a tree,
they flicker here & there
like a precious  gem.

From the east
I saw a shooting star.
Falls so fast
like a blink of an eye.

The stars a million miles away
that brights the dark sky,
brings joy to my heart,
and takes my breath away.

ALMOST THERE

I soo like this song!  Common baby, click the play button and enjoy listening to this song.  =)
The lyrics is found at the bottom of this video.

LYRICS:
Three, four!
Yeah
You know, we're so close
See, I can taste it
I know all our dreams
We can taste it
We almost there

Come on, say!
Uh! Yeah!
Come on, say!
Uh! Yeah!
Three, four!

Just one more step
Come on, baby, yeah
'Cus we're al-, almost there, uhuh

No matter how hard
The task may seem
Don't give up our plans
Don't give up our dreams
No broken bridges
Will turn us around
'Cus what we're searching for
Will soon be found

'Cus we're al-, almost there
Just one more step
Just one more step, uh
Don't give up!
We're al-, almost there

Look at the lonely lovers
That didn't make it
Love's long hard climb
They just couldn't take it
Don't let it happen
To me and you
Just hold togehter, darling
We'll make it through

Darling, keep on reaching out for me

Keep on reaching
Do it for me
Do it for me
Do it, baby

'Cus we're almost there
Just one more step
Just one more step
Don't you dare
Don't give up
Give up, keep on
We're al-, almost there

We're so close
I can taste it
I... so sweet
Can't afford to waste it
If you feel your hands
Slipping from mine
Just hold on tighter, darling
Keep on trying
Baby, do it for me
Do it, do it, do it, baby

Just one more step
Don't give up
Just one more step
Baby, baby, don't give up
Keep on, keep on
Just one more step
And we're almost there
Yeah!

I know it hasn't really been easy
But nothing worth the wait ever is
And all our dreams can be ours
I'm telling you we almost there
Hahaha
I'm telling you we almost there

My Favorite Jay Sean Songs

My all time favorite music by JAY SEAN.  I really love these songs from the British singer-songwriter and rapper.  2012 (IT AIN'T THE END OF THE WORLD) is my all time favorite PARTY MUSIC.  With its energetic, electric beat, I'm definitely sure everyone  ( even the most reserved person ) will get up and seize the day dance to its pulsating dance-floor tempo.  Watch and listen the video and enjoy the music.  =)

____________________________________________________________________________

Another song is entitled  " HOME ," a slow music.  This is about a place where you can go when everything's turn out not good, when you're hurting inside most especially.  " Home is where your heart is. "  Check this out --- music video and lyrics.  Enjoy!

LYRICS:

After all that he said, after all that he done
What can make you believe that he’s still the one
Why’d you hide from the truth, when you break down and cry
There’s a reason you stay, I just don’t know why
Would be better off walking away from this
And you won’t be alone
When there’s nowhere to run, when you’re hurting inside
When you can’t carry on, just know there’s a place you can hide
Don’t you be so afraid of the things he would say
I would stay by your side baby if you leave, let it go
You’re gonna find your way home!
I remember that girl, her laugh and her smile
She ain’t gone but she’s been away for a while
No I find it hard to watch and take that away
But there’s only so much that I can, can take
You know you deserve so much more than this
How can I make you feel?
When there’s nowhere to run, when you’re hurting inside
When you can’t carry on, just know there’s a place you can hide
Don’t you be so afraid of the things he would say
I would stay by your side baby if you leave, let it go
You’re gonna find your way home!
You should know you deserve so much more
(so much more)
So let me take you away
(let me take you away)
When there’s nowhere to run, when you’re hurting inside
When you can’t carry on, just know there’s a place you can hide
Don’t you be so afraid of the things he would say
I would stay by your side baby if you leave, let it go
You’re gonna find your way home.

TAN COMMANDMENTS

Summer’s already here and the best summer getaway as usual is the beach or island(s).  Anywhere in the Philippines do we have so many, so there’s no escape to miss the fun under the sun.

The following are my advice (or rules) for getting that perfect tan:

1.      Have a sun protection factor of 15 at the very least.  It should be oil-free and waterproof so you won’t end up feeling greasy.
2.     Apply sunscreen 20 minutes before heading out into the waters.  This is for your skin to absorb what you’ve applied.
3.     Sun exposure should be reduced in time.  It is advisable to stay out under the sun for only 15 minutes, not prolong stay under the sun.  The heat of the sun these times is very painful and can cause skin cancer so it is a need.
4.     Reapply SPF lotion especially after swimming or sweating to ensure skin protection.  Any form of liquid can wash out what you’ve applied.
5.     Lastly, exfoliate your body first before applying, and enhance your glow with an after-sun lotion.  Also remember to hydrate your skin by drinking water and or keep it moisturized to prevent peeling as well as maintain an even skin tone.

With these rules in mind, I’m quite sure that you’ll get the awesome glow of tan.  Not only that, you also enjoy the summer fun with friends in the beach/island.  Summer is the best season to be with friends especially having adventures of nature.  It’s just that proper and hygienic ways should be practiced especially when health-conscious.  Life is beautiful!  Obey! ….and get that perfect color of tan.  =)

EXERCISE TO A HEALTHY LIFE

Exercise is a physical activity that is planned, structured and repetitive for the purpose of conditioning one’s mind and or any part of the body.  As we grow each and every day, exercise is a must to maintain and or achieve a healthy life.  Keeping ourselves fit by merely looking good and feeling good as well as work better.  With exercise, various organs and systems of our body are stimulated though activity and thus, work more effectively in each of our own jobs.  Through constant exercise, posture is improved and tones our supporting muscles of our body.  And not only is that, with proper exercise, one’s appearance improved as well as frequency of lower back pains is decreased.
BENEFITS
One obvious benefit of exercise is the reduce number of fat deposits.  Proper and constant exercise along with proper diet could result to that.  Another benefit is the ability to relax and tolerate fatigue.  Exercise also improves muscle tones.  It is also an advantage in good health since kidney and liver functions very well, as well as blood circulation and volume.

MY EXPERIENCE
Personally, the best exercise is walking a few kilometers everyday early in the morning.  I believe that since breathing fresh air in the morning clears the mind from stress.  Aside from that, I have fun seeing views of nature.  I really enjoy being with nature.  Like breathing, walking is so natural to human body giving importance to our feet, saving much time and money being in static motion.
Gardening is also considered fun exercise.  It is fun doing hand works with plants, moving from one place to another, bending, standing or sitting.  A lot of joints o muscles been worked as you care the plants around your house.

Improve any aspect of your life.  Exercise to a healthy life.  Exercise to a good and sound mind, body and soul.

FLAN -tastic custard

A Filipino custard made from egg yolks and/or eggs, milk, and sugar.  Actually the recipe is not my original recipe.  I just follow this recipe I got from a news magazine.  This is quite different from what my mother taught me so I try this one and find everything great. Yummy!

Leche flan is either steamed or baked.  There are innumerable ways to make this popular dessert  in an oval (or any shape)  mold called a llanera/lyanera (lya-ner-AH) that has been lined with caramelized sugar.

Ingredients
Caramel:
1 cup white sugar
1/8 cup water
1/8  white vinegar
Flan
8 egg yolks
¾ cup sugar
1½ cups fresh milk
Recipe:
1. Preheat oven to 350°F. Fill a 13x9 roasting pan halfway with water. Let heat inside the oven while it preheats. This is the water bath.
2. Meanwhile, mix ingredients for caramel in a heavy-bottomed sauce pan. On medium heat, stir until sugar has dissolved. Once mixture boils, do not stir. Let mixture boil until it becomes a light golden brown. Immediately drizzle the caramel into a 9x5 loaf pan or into 2 llaneras. Tilt the pan(s) so that the caramel completely covers the bottom(s).

3. In a bowl, thoroughly mix the flan ingredients. Strain mixture into the prepared pan(s). Place mixture into pan(s). Cook in the water bath for 40 minutes, or until 1 hour. A knife inserted in the middle of the flan should come out clean.
4. Cool the flan still in the water bath at room temperature for 30 minutes. Remove from the water bath and un-mold onto a platter.
