SINGLE LIFE and LENT
Being single isn’t bad. What is bad is
giving up hope on finding that someone special.”
For most, single life is very lonely, where no one is there for you in good times as well as in bad times. But really, it's a crucial time in every individual. As Harville Hendrix says, " It’s a vital stage of the journey of maturation." It is a time to learn about who we are, to learn responsibility and self-sufficiency, to identify our true desires, and to confront our inner strengths and demons. Single life need not always be thinking of oneself but also to the people around. It's like loving the feeling of being free from attachments and focus on your dreams in life. And it's just that relationships are quite important in any individual that makes it much challenging to be in a situation of being single for years.
Lenten season is a 40days of reflection, that is to say, a recollection of moments in your life living with Jesus Christ. Each day starting with a prayer, as well as ending it with a prayer. It's the time to ponder how we deal with life's difficulties/ adversities, and most of all a time to ponder how we respond to God's blessings.
Mainly, It's a time with sacrifices especially fasting, abstaining, and chastity. Not only foods do we fast or abstain but also to our daily works in life. Daily works that not quite important/ relevant in our reflections. It is quite a necessary practice because it will give each of us much strength spiritually.
Our Faith can also be strengthened through a basic Christian duty called CORPORATE WORSHIP. The holy bible concisely tells us to worship God every Sunday in his church. It is quite important thing to do on every Sundays being in God’s house and being filled with grace of his presence in the Blessed Sacrament.
Lenten season is a time to repent and forgive those who trespass against us, continuing our journey of life. As Christ had forgiven us, so do we must forgive ourselves and each other, and move forward positively. And together with the Spiritual Works of Mercy as well as Corporal Works of Mercy enables us to put our faith in Christ into actions in our daily life.
And by these works of mercy one may be rewarded by God a special significant other. Who knows? Doing these works of mercy can we meet our soul mate. God's clock is never ours. It's never advanced, nor late. It's always on the right time. (",)
HOWTO MANAGE TIME
"You're my 2-minute happiness" -- Anonymous
For me, my day would be oh so great with a two-minute prayer. I can flash a great smile with a 2 minute prayer. May it be my own or just saying the rosary or even a "mass-ful" day. As Edwin Harvey put it in a quote: “A day without prayer is a day without blessing, and a life without prayer is a life without power.”
To manage time, it is best to start the day with prayer. Then proceed with your goals on daily routine, continuing on to setting your priorities, then moving on to maintaining one’s focus amid distractions along the way, and visualizing your goal for greater achievement. Lastly, take charge of your goals and achievements.
Whatever one’s endeavor, it is quite a happy feeling having accomplishments in a day the least.

OF FRIENDS & FRIENDSHIP
"Friends like you are hard to find." What a beautiful message to receive these days. Like a child who needs a playmate, does anyone also needs a friend. You may ask what's the difference of the two.
When you say playmate, he/she is the person who can go with you along many games, but when you say friend, he/she is the one person who has principles same like you. As I have learned reading the bible, in the book of Proverbs chapter seventeen verse seventeen that says "Friends always show their love. What are relatives for if not to share trouble?"
Truth is: As one grows up, one needs friends who (a) have good conduct (b)commendable principles (c)good influence.
Now, the question is how can one find a friend who has these things mentioned. Let us go about each of these mentioned above.
GOOD CONDUCT: Not all can be a true friend. As mentioned in the book of Proverbs chapter eighteen verse twenty-four that says, " Some friendships do not last, but some friends are more loyal than brothers." Perhaps you have encountered a person who just used you for any reason, or perhaps who betrayed you. Truthfully that does broke your trust you gave. ALWAYS REMEMBER that what is important is not how many do you have friends but how good are they to you or to your loved ones. Try to open the bible and read the book of Galatians chapter five verses twenty two and twenty three of which that says," But the Spirit produces love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, humility, and self control. There is no law against such things as these" ; and ask yourself, "Does my friends show " the fruit of Spirit?"
COMMENDABLE PRINCIPLES: If you really are searching for a friend, might be you would just choose anybody out there. The bible says, "Keep company with the wise and you will become wise. if you make friends with the stupid people, you will be ruined." (PROVERBS 13:20) Instead of making friends with anybody out there, be someone who carefully chooses someone to call friend at all times, choose not the fair weather friends. Choose someone who we can distinguish what is right from wrong, who serves the Lord Jesus Christ.
GOOD INFLUENCE: The bible says "Do not be fooled. "Bad companions ruin your good character." Don't friend those persons who use bribery for you to follow their lifestyles. Maybe you can say it could be one reason why you have less friends or nothing at all. But the thing here is it can lighten up your load where you can find a good and true friend who is of good influence.
